Congratulations to Andy Zheng and his team “350% Asian” on winning second 🥈 in Cadet Team Men’s Epee! What a stellar performance by Andy and these other young fencers, who beat many strong teams along the way.

Also big congrats to Julieanne Qi on her eighth 8️⃣ place finish in Cadet Women’s Epee! Julieanne was very tired but still kept pushing, and ended up with this top 8 finish out of over 200 cadet fencers! She is only fourteen and is achieving such excellence! 🙌 This is also her third medal from this NAC!

Celebrating the win at Hungary Cadet WORLD CUP!

Another podium moment at the Hungary Cadet World Cup!

First and third place in the Cadet Men’s Epee team event was earned by USA! Team USA 1 earned first, and our own Andy Zheng and Team USA 2 earned third place 🥉 in the Cadet Men’s Epee team event. Congratulations to these brilliant kids on their success in Budapest!

The first Cadet World Cup of this season ended beautifully for us as a team. United Team USA will continue to prepare for the next one!

The Cadet Circuit Budapest Epee Competition is part of the European Fencing Confederation’s (EFC) U17 circuit, gathering young fencers from various countries to compete in individual and team epee events. It is one of Europe’s most significant Epee events and attracts the most skilled and experienced fencers worldwide.

Despite the tough competition, the USA fencing team still won gold, silver, and bronze in this world-renowned event. In the USA team, our own Andy Zheng has stood out with his hard work and blade skill and won second place at only 14 years of age. Andy Zheng has won 1st place in Division 1A Man’s Epee during the Summer Nationals! His hard work and skills have been displayed on this most significant fencing stage in the States! Hats off to his astonishing achievement!

The USA Fencing Summer Nationals is the largest fencing event in the country and one of the biggest fencing competitions worldwide. Held annually, it brings together thousands of athletes from across the United States, representing a range of ages and skill levels. Events include individual and team competitions, youth divisions (like Y10, Y12, and Y14), adult categories (Divisions I-III), and veteran age groups.

This multi-day tournament serves as a national championship in several categories and offers a platform for educational sessions, clinics, and collegiate recruitment events. Additionally, the tournament celebrates the achievements of fencing legends through Hall of Fame inductions and fosters community interaction with events like town hall meetings.
